On Sunday 5 August 2018 Sydney Living Museums will be running a special 3 hour interactive program at both Susannah Place Museum and The Big Dig Archaeology Education Centre, looking at what was on early colonists’ tables and in their shops. The program explores what the archaeological remains and artefacts from The Big Dig site can reveal about food and dining. There’s a great news piece by Harriet Tatham about the program on the ABC website.

The program includes making an Irish soda-bread damper and DIY butter, which will later be enjoyed with a hearty stew during a seated lunch. Further information and booking details are available here.
